Herring is a silvery oily fish best known when smoked as a Kipper. They’re rich in Omega 3 and 6 oils attributed to aiding coronary heart conditions. Normally caught at around 200g in local waters; however, the Norwegian fishery produces larger fish around the 450g size during the winter months.
