Crab Meat (Brown)

We cook the previous nights landing of crabs early in the morning, ready to be hand picked in the same traditional way the Cornish have prepared fresh dressed crab for centuries. Our fresh brown crabmeat is sealed in trays then pasteurised to retain its delicious flavour.

May contain breadcrumbs. Crab claws not included.

Crab

Caught in the grounds between Lizard Point (south of Falmouth) and Start point of Plymouth, our fresh crab is full of juicy meat with the finest flavour. We can provide live Spider Crabs, Cocks, and Hens. Every care is taken to only send live crab but on the rare occasion that one might die in transit, we cannot accept responsibility.

We also provide freshly picked crab meat if you’d prefer. Our team of specialist staff hand pick freshly cooked crabs daily. Fresh crab meat is available as pasteurised (long shelf life), natural, or presented dressed in its shell.

Lobster

Cornish live lobster is renowned for its quality and flavour and never fails to impress on any menu. Landed to us daily by local fishermen, live and super fresh, it has to be the finest shellfish available from Cornish waters. We buy our live lobster from fishermen of three different Cornish fishing harbours – St. Mawes, Padstow, and Charlestown.

As a sponsor of The National Lobster Hatchery, we donate £1 from the sale of each lobster; helping them to conserve and grow the lobster population and preserve the bio-diversity of our Cornish coast. Read more about our ‘Buy One Set One Free’ initiative with The National Lobster Hatchery.

We offer Cornish Lobster fresh, cooked, or live for next day delivery. Our live lobsters are packed straight from our seawater storage tanks late in the afternoon on the day of dispatch. Please check them on arrival and keep them cool and moist; the salad tray of a refrigerator or the original packaging is best.

On the very rare occasion that the lobster is sleepy or dead on arrival please cook immediately. To check if a lobster is still alive place a finger on an eye – if it moves the lobster is alive. We recommend cooking lobster as soon as is reasonably possible to ensure the finest taste and consistency.

A cooked lobster will keep (whole) in the refrigerator for three days when kept covered at less than 2o degrees Celsius.
