Cornish Mackerel, almost completley hook and line caught, is an oily stripped greeny round fish that shoals around the Cornish coast. This fish is vastly under rated and has a beautiful flavour. Mackerel is also available hot smoked.
Mackerel is predominatly a portion sized fish with sizes ranging from 250g to 500g. There is no particular season, however be aware that May and June are not the best of months for this fish.Find out more...
